Would be GREAT to see some McGill riders at the races! We know its far, but the first weekend event is REALLY fun.

David, do you guys ever have "alumni" categories for your races? At the ECCC where we normally race, I can often jump in and race for fun even though I'm not technically eligible to win.

Hi Ben,
Yes, of course! We think mountain biking should be a life long sport.
Alumni are welcome to race. Their times are posted, and they race with current students, but their points are not included in the overall "Team" scores...for obvious reasons. Just let them know at registration that you are an alum.
The U-Cup is really laid back and we try to keep it fun. After each race we have a free BBQ and all the schools hang out with each other.
You would be more than welcome.

If the teams thinking of doing a UCUP, count me in! Ganaraska is the closest to Montreal and I know a ton of billets in Kingston that could put us up Saturday night.

so wait, does that mean we're racing U-Cup this year instead of ECCC, or do we have a choice between the two?

haha I was just asking. You guys can decide where you want to race; I'm not even in charge of anything next year so it's up to you guys.
