ECCC Rutgers March 6-7 2010
Hi everyone,
We'll soon be organizing hotels+transport for the Rutgers race, so it would be good to have an idea of how many people are planning to come.
I don't think I need to publicize this race any more that it has already been. You have been hearing about it since November probably and Adam's weekly countdown is now ticking more than ever.
Since there seems to be an issue with the display of the sign-up, please post "I'm planning on coming" if you want to attend. We'll keep track of how many people are interested.
By doing so, you're not committing yourself, but it should reflect "the future" as much as possible.
As Ben mentioned at the team meeting, expect fees of 60-70$ for transport+hotel.
We'll warn you once the registration is open.
Also, don't forget to get your license before Rutgers if you plan on doing more than 4-5 races during the 2010 season.
I'll be coming

lol nice Drew.
PS Hey Allison Grover
yeah drew, that's exactly what it's like at the ECCC. except more girls with 80s haircuts.
Mat, I've added a signup. The public display only shows 10 people, but if you go to the signup tab at the top (it might be exec only, not sure) you can see the whole list of people.
I'll be there
I'll be there. I heard a rumor that Mat BR, Pete, Seb and Gruber will be providing complimentary health care to the Americans while we are down there.
Only after their thighs explode and their ego's are crushed from trying to catch the McGill jersey pedaling away in the distance

hehe. Seb maybe. From what I hear Scott, it sounds like the peeps down in the US could use some of your economic advice to pull them out of that recession too!
I'm going to nip this one in the bud. If you want to discuss US politics, economics, or anything not related to the ECCC race at Rutgers, please head over to the everything else section...
I'm coming too!
Annnnnnnnnd Grandpa Hons decisively ends any discussion on this matter.
Get off my lawn you damn kids!
i don't know how to say this papa bear, but you don't have a lawn. I'm sorry you had to find out this way.
Well if I ever get one...you better get off it!
hmmm i think i'll come?

I'll just throw this out there - If possible, Lorri, Petey and I would like to come and cheer you all on. I could do some driving if necessary (I'm over 25), and we would pay for our own hotel room.
Pete, that's awesome. I'll email you soon about this.
hi guys!!! I wanted to post this earlier but I was thinking of you all at Rutgers this weekend and I hope you had an amazing time at the first race of the season.
Congrats guys and girls :) Brilliant results:

Even a few photo-finish pictures!
Great job organizing yourselves guys for a big weekend. Sounds like there was kind of a lot of carnage, if I'm not mistaken. We need someone to volunteer to write a quick summary! Just a couple paragraphs with notable results and a recap of what happened for the News page. If you are interested, please post here and bang it out.
Thanks
great job guys!!!
as a friendly reminder to everyone, don't throw out your race numbers if you plan on racing again. You need them for the next race. If you throw them out they make you buy new ones. I found this out the hard way my first year.
Is someone going to write a quick race summary? There were a ton of great results, and we should really start using the news section of the website for our visitors. This is something that I have been really terrible with, but it is one of my goals to start having regular news updates.
I'll write a race summary tonight.
Awesome! Thanks drew!
