WTB casette, cables, housings, and 8speed comatible rear wheel

Hey guys,
Im looking to find the following:
-A shimano compatible 10speed cassette (anything that is still okay to be used for a commuter in building)
- A true rear wheel to replace my brothers current 8speed compatible rear wheel (tiagra rd). His is always coming out of true even when rebuilt. The current wheelset is alex rim R450 i think. I presume its got a 8speed shimano casette.
- A place to buy a lot of cable housings and brake/derailler cables. Can i get them in boxes like the bike shops do? any suggestions...

MEC has some decent prices on cables, housings, etc. If you want the basic stuff I'm pretty sure they are cost competitive, otherwise there are tons of online retailers. No point in buying in bulk though - I don't change my cables unless there an obvious performance problem and that isn't very often TBH. That's one of the nice things about internal routing, once the bitch job of putting the cables through is done, there isn't much housing to degrade and it's easy to just replace pieces.
Also, make sure you have good tools to finish the housing and cable ends, the finish is more important the just doing the replacement.
